NextGen's Newest Project
In recognition of the incredible programs that some NextGen leaders saw firsthand in February 2019, NextGen is committing to fundraise a minimum of $100,000 for UNICEF Dominican Republic's Mothers and Babies in Good Care Initiative. Thanks to dedicated staff on the ground, UNICEF is working to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality throughout the country.
The Mothers and Babies in Good Care Initiative will focus on ten hospitals and community health centers in areas where 70% of maternal and neonatal mortality is concentrated. With our support, at the end of the three-year period at least 45,000 babies will be born in safe conditions. In addition, mothers will be treated with dignity, be protected from obstetric violence and overall, will receive better quality of care. View the full project proposal below!
